Chris Christie has spent the last several weeks trying to convince the American People that he is the most qualified candidate to handle the terror threat against America. He handled several terror cases in New Jersey as a U.S. attorney from 2002 to 2008, and has said he spent those years "protecting our country against another one of those [9/11] attacks." In the last Republican debate on Dec. 15, Christie mentioned his past as a federal prosecutor a half-dozen times. Oh his website, Christie sites the prosecution of a 68-year-old former women's clothing salesman from India, Hemant Lakani, as an example of his terrorism chops. Lakhani was arrested after he sold what he believed to be a surface-to-air missile to an FBI informant in New Jersey who said he wanted to shoot down American planes. Christie's critics are now looking at whether Lakani was a real threat or just a stepping for Christie's political ambitions.
